Mika Ennis, B.Sc., R. Ac. is a registered acupuncturist who focuses on the treatment of pain, injury and hormonal health including: thyroid disorders, PCO’S, endometriosis, adrenal fatigue, infertility, pregnancy preparation, and post-partum care.  Her goal is to help her patients take charge of their own health by encouraging them not to accept their symptoms as “normal” all while working towards optimizing quality of life and the experiences of menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, menopause.

After completing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Conservation Sciences, Mika began her career as an Environmental Scientist- but something was always missing.  She longed to make a positive impact and have a spark of passion and connection while at work. Stemming from the anxiety and stress of feeling disconnected with her true calling and her current job, Mika began receiving acupuncture. The immediate physical and mental relaxation overwhelmed her and her new career path became clear. Mika then completed her Diploma of Acupuncture at MacEwan University in 2016. It is truly one of the best decisions she has ever made in her life. At the end of her studies, Mika had the opportunity to travel to Zhengzhou, China to further her studies and complete an internship at the Henan University of Chinese Medicine.

Mika’s background as an Environmental Scientist has informed her understanding of how your environment can affect your health including endocrine disrupting chemicals, one of the many root causes affecting hormonal health today. Mika considers herself an eternal student and is always seeking answers to improve the quality of life of her patients. She has continually pursued post-graduate studies in sports injury, sciatica, thyroid disorders, PCO’S, endometriosis, adrenal fatigue, infertility, pregnancy and postpartum.

Mika has become known for her compassion and dedication to her patients, intuitive attention to detail, and continual expansion of her knowledge base. Mika strongly believes in the innate healing power within each of us, bringing hope and clarity to her patients.  When you don’t find her running around outdoors with her husband and two kids, Mika can be found hugging a cat while reading a book or listening to podcasts on true crimes, health and wellness or comedy.
